How to Support

Newport Mind is always looking for willing people to help us in the support of those with mental health problems. There are a variety of ways that you can help.

If you have an idea and you'd like to speak to one of the team about how you can help, please email enquiries@newportmind.org and we'll give you all the support we can.

Not sure where to start? Sign up to receive our newsletter and we'll send you monthly ideas and updates about our work.

Fundraise for Newport Mind

Running a marathon and want to fundraise for Newport Mind? Or thinking of setting up a coffee morning? Fundraising events like these are a great way to raise money and awareness. We'll give you all the support you need, and help you to promote your event or challenge.

We can also lend you resources, donation buckets and T-shirts if you are hosting an event. Email enquiries@newportmind.org to let us know your plans and to get started!

Using Virgin Money Giving

By using Virgin Money Giving, your friends and family can make a donation directly to us, and you can keep track of your progress on your very own fundraising page.

Click on the link above to set up your page and get started. Don't forget to search for "Newport Mind" when selecting your charity, so that 100% of the proceeds can be spent on projects locally in Newport.

Support Newport Mind at work or at home

There's loads of ways that you can raise money whilst also raising awareness. Whether you're fundraising at work, at church, at a social club or with friends at home, it's easy to get started and to support our work whilst having lots of fun!

Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Suggest Newport Mind as your Charity of the Year at work
  • Ask your local shop or pub to host a collection box
  • Host a tea party for friends
  • Hold a pub quiz at your local
  • Ask for donations instead of birthday or wedding presents
  • Hold your own charity concert or event

We can lend you resources, donation buckets and T-shirts if you are hosting an event. Email enquiries@newportmind.org to let us know your plans and to get started!

Make a Donation

Service User Involvement

Newport Mind is committed to including people who use our services in all discussions about how the organisation develops. Everybody’s unique view is important to us. We aim to enable people who use our services to contribute to shaping how these services are delivered and how they might change in the future.

It is important to us that we help people to do things for themselves (as opposed to us doing things for them). In line with this we feel it is crucial that people have a say and have meaningful input into how our services are delivered.

If you already use Newport Mind services please speak to a member of staff for more information about how you can get involved.
