What does it involve?
Over eight free weekly sessions, you can learn all about staying mentally well while enjoying activities and spending time with others. Activities vary, but could include things like arts and crafts, games, talks and gentle exercise. You'll also have the chance to learn about other projects in your area that could help you, and find out how you can help others.
Who can take part?
Anyone over 50 living in the Newport area can take part, totally free of charge.
How do I get involved?
Our next sessions start Wednesday 14th June 2017 at Newport Mind. If you would like to attend please contact us on 01633 258741 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We know that getting older has its challenges - for example leaving work, loneliness, money worries and bereavement - and these can all affect our wellbeing.
My Generation is a joint project between Mind Cymru and Age Cymru to help people over 50 in Wales to stay mentally healthy well by improving their resilience.
It's funded by Welsh Government and delivered by Newport Mind and Age Cymru Gwent.
