Piece by Piece Project

The Piece by Piece project support young people aged 11-25 and their families across Newport.

We are funded by the Police Crime Commissioner and aim to support young people who have experienced trauma and have been affected by crime. This includes young people who have involvement in, or are at risk of involvement in the Criminal Justice system, either as a victim or perpetrator.

We offer 1-2-1 support sessions for young people and family sessions with their parents/caregivers. We use both restorative and resilience approaches to support individuals in processing their mental and emotional experiences.

We strive to promote positive change for young people and encourage them to try new coping strategies to reduce any further impact of poor mental health

We support those aged 11-25 and their families. 

We are dedicated to providing this service to anyone who is struggling and in need of it. Poor mental health can affect anyone, and therefore this service is available to anyone regardless of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, nationality, language or financial status.  

Referrals can be made directly by emailing a completed CYPF Services referral form to CYPF@newportmind.org 

We also sit on the SPACE Wellbeing Panel and can accept referrals through this pathway.
